Position:    Research Assistant

Duties:    The Research Assistant (RA) will assist the professor and graduate students in managing several research projects on parenting, child development, and culture. RAs will participate in different research tasks (e.g., conducting literature reviews, designing and formatting questionnaires, entering data, coding observational data) as well as office tasks (e.g., filing, photocopying).
     
Required skills:    RA needs to be extremely reliable, responsible, and hard-working. Possession of good organizational and communication skills are necessary. Some background in psychology is a plus, but not necessary.
     
Start Date:    Fall 2010
Hours per week:    10
Pay range:    $8-10 per hour

RAs will participate in different administrative (e.g., filing and photocopying) and research tasks (e.g., conducting literature reviews, designing and formatting online questionnaires, and entering data).
     
Required skills:    RA needs to be reliable, motivated, and responsible. Independent, self-started a plus, but commitment to learning is most important. Good communication skills are required. Some background in psychology is helpful, but not required.
